The contest in its first edition is promoted by ICARUS, as part of the promotional activity of the remote tourism platform.


The initiative invites us to tell through images the landscape with which the user interacts thanks to the Icarus interface.

Every place, as far as it is known, offers to those who look at it and observe the opportunity to be rediscovered, looking beyond commonplaces with new eyes, looking for a new point of view.

The competition aims to spread the knowledge of the Italian territory.


The competition runs from 26 September 2020 to 30 September 2020 (deadline for sending photographs). Selection by October 1st, 2020.




Participation in the competition is free, open to all users of the platform on the occasion of the launch event on 26 and 27 September 2020, without age limits. Each participant can upload a maximum of 1 photograph on the social platforms indicated (in this case, Instagram and Facebook), duly accompanied by the hashtag #travelfromhome and #yallersicarus and by the tags @ and @yallersitalia .

The members of the jury are excluded from the competition, as well as all those who collaborate in various capacities in the organization of the competition.


The photographs must be unpublished and taken during the travel experience with Icarus. Only photos taken via the platform on 26 – 27 September 2020 are allowed. B / w and color photographs with both vertical and horizontal frames are allowed. Small changes are allowed that do not distort in any way the original nature of the image. Photomontages, compositing and modifications such as to distort the original images are not allowed. Images not conforming to specifications will not be taken into consideration.


The photos can be uploaded from the beginning of the event (26 September) until midnight on 30 September 2020.

All the photographs sent will be screened by the jury who will eliminate, at its sole discretion, those deemed off-topic, or in any case not in line with the competition or which are contrary to public morality and morality.


The image deemed most significant by the jury will be rewarded through the exhibition as part of the TTG Expo2020 in Rimini and the author will win a gift box for a 6-night stay in an Italian location of the equivalent value of € 700.


The jury will be composed of 1 member of Yallers Italia and 2 of Mensura Technologies Srl and will express an unquestionable judgment.


Each participant is responsible for the material submitted by him to the competition. Therefore it undertakes to exclude any responsibility of the organizers of the aforementioned towards third parties, also towards any subjects depicted in the photographs.

In no case will the images sent contain data that can be classified as sensitive.

Each participant also declares to be the sole author of the images sent and that they are original, unpublished and not in the process of being published, that they do not harm the rights of third parties and that if they portray subjects for whom consent or authorization is required, he / she has obtained or has taken steps to make such subjects unrecognizable.

The organizers also reserve the right to exclude from the competition and not to publish the photos that do not conform in the form and subject to what is indicated in this announcement or to the commonly recognized rules on public morality, ethics and decency, for the protection of participants and visitors. Therefore images deemed offensive, improper and harmful to human and social rights will not be admitted.


The rights to the photographs remain the exclusive property of the author who produced them, who however authorizes their use for events or publications related to the contest itself as well as for activities relating to the institutional or promotional purposes of the Icarus project. Each author is personally responsible for the works presented, except for express written prohibition, the organization is authorized to reproduce in catalog, institutional publications, CDs and on the internet in order to promote the platform.

Each time they are used, the photos will be accompanied by the name of the author and, where possible, by any explanatory notes.

We inform you that the personal data provided by the competitors will be used for activities relating to the institutional or promotional purposes of the Icarus project in accordance with the provisions of Legislative Decree June 30, 2003 n. 196. At any time, the participants can exercise the rights provided for by art. 7 of the Privacy Code (access, correction, cancellation, opposition to processing) by sending an informal request to Mensura Technologies Srl, the data controller with registered office in Lucca, via della Chiesa XXXII trav.I, 231.

The author of each photograph published for the purposes of this contest also declares:

• To be the author of the photos sent and to be the exclusive and legitimate owner of all copyrights and exploitation rights of each photograph taken during the travel experience, and therefore to possess all reproduction rights;

• To have acquired from legitimate third parties all the image rights as portrayed or to have made them unrecognizable;

• To have received, from the subjects portrayed, the authorization of the same or of whoever exercises parental authority;

• That the content of the photographs is not obscene, defamatory, blasphemous, racist, child pornography or in violation of intellectual property rights, moral rights, copyrights or third party personal data protection rights, publication rights and in general respects the provisions of the law on copyright (Law 22 April 1941 n. 633) and subsequent amendments;

• To be responsible for the content of their works.

By participating in the contest, the author of each photograph grants Mensura Technologies Srl, free of charge, the right to publish the images on the website , , , on printed matter related to the award ceremony, on computer media or for promotional exhibitions of the project itself, as well as on the occasion of national and international exhibitions or events promoted by Icarus or with its patronage and / or participation, with the sole burden of citing the author each time some photographs. Finally, the author of the images authorizes their use for the institution’s institutional purposes.

Participation in the competition implies, by the participant, the unconditional acceptance of these regulations.
